5 Most Chilling Charlotte Spooks

Chilling Charlotte Spooks

By: Carrie Hamrick

Double double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble-  It’s the spirits of the night in which we glean, and the haunted attractions of the Queen…

With “All Hallows Eve” just around the corner, here’s a collection of our favorite Charlotte spooks:

Campground Nightmare

940 Gold Hill Rd, Fort Mill SC 29708
20-25 min drive from Uptown Charlotte

Whether you’re making your way through an old farmhouse dating back to 1897, or the surrounding 50 acres of woods, Campground Nightmare is designed to both thrill and chill. With a goal of making visitors feel as though they are experiencing a “living” horror movie, you may just find yourself surrounded by your worst nightmare.

After you’ve had your fill of spooks, have a drink at Campground Nightmare’s full service bar - Joe’s Place. If you still can’t get enough, choose to stay the night since Campground Nightmare is located at an actual KOA campground complete with RV sites, tent camping, and cabin rentals.

Tickets: $22 (tax included)

Boogerwoods

725 Phaniel Church Rd, Rockwell, NC 28138
40-45 min drive from Uptown Charlotte

Boogerwoods is NOT for the weak at heart! This year’s display features 13 different scenes such as Zombie Meat Packing, Earthquake and Uncle Joey’s Clown School. Your group will have a special guide to take you through the scenes and ensure maximum terror.

Make sure you take some cash because Boogerwoods does not accept credit cards, nor do they have an ATM on site. Money raised at Boogerwoods goes to Cystic Fibrosis - so get your scare on for a good cause!
