All the exciting events you’ll want to know about this 4th of July weekend in Charlotte

Friday

Charlotte Symphony at Symphony Park
The “Celebrate America” show starts at 8:15 and will be followed by a fireworks show. Tickets are $16.

Red, White, and Belmont
Starts with concert by The Tams at 6 p.m. on Main Street. Fireworks at 9:30.

Saturday

Reds, Whites, & You! Fourth of July Wine Tasting Tour
You get round-trip transportation to and from uptown and a vineyard.  It comes with wine tasting for up to 12 wines or 6 wines and 3 beers as well as a picnic lunch. Times are 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Tickets can be bought here for $79-$89

Waxhaw 4th of July Celebration
Parade at 10 a.m.; Beach party 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Fireworks at dusk.

Queen’s Landing
Take a ride on a river cruise and then enjoy carnival rides, food trucks, and a showing of the movie “Independence Day” with fireworks afterwards

Matthews People’s Parade
Parade begins at the Town Hall Green 5:30 p.m. Concert from Too Much Sylvia at 7 p.m. at Stumptown Park.

Sunday

4th of July activities at the Whitewater Center
You can play cornhole, listen to live music, and see fireworks. The fun runs from 3 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

16th Annual Plaza Midwood Independence Day Pig Pickin’
Enjoy barbeque all while raising awareness and money for the Plaza Midwood Business District. You can also enjoy live music and cheap drinks. The event runs from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.

6th annual Charlotte Firecracker 5K
There’s a Family Fun Run and 5K. The 5k run will start at 7:00pm in front of Olde Providence Elementary. The Fun Run starts at Windyrush Country Club at 7:45. You can still register here

Davidson Independence Day Celebration
There will be a parade starting at McEver Field on South Street at 5:15 p.m. The band, Ted Vigil will perform at 6:00 p.m.

Howl at the Moon’s Red, White & Brew Bash
Enjoy a night of dancing, drinks, games, and prizes. Make sure to wear red, white, and blue to get free admission. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Monday

The most important event of the weekend- OUR 4th of July Splash Bash
The party will be at the new Sheraton Hotel Pool and Craft City Social Club from 12pm-6pm. There will be live music, signature cocktails, food, and lots of games. Plus, we’ll all be there, so come out and meet the EatWorkPlay crew if you haven’t already. Tickets are on sale here
