Shorty's Out: Bachelorette Recap - Week 6

“Shorty’s out!”

all the things you’re thinking while watching The Bachelorette, but don’t want to say

The group is staying in Argentina this week and Alex gets the first 1 on 1.

I knew the longer he stayed, this would happen, but I was dreading watching it. Somehow, it was even worse than I thought it would be. I have never liked Alex. I don’t know why, but he both creeps me out and really annoys me. I was literally cringing the whole time I was watching their date. I felt like JoJo was my friend and I needed to jump through the TV and save her.

Like, look how bored she was during their car ride.

I’ve heard a lot that traveling with someone really shows you where you are in a relationship. This relationship was clearly donezo!

Before that though, we had to awkwardly watch them lay with a horse.

During the “dinner” part of the night, Alex really lays it all out there and tells JoJo he’s falling in love with her. JoJo is cringing the whole time, because she knows she doesn’t feel the same. She tells him he’s gotta go and maaaan he is TICKED. Oh well.  Bye, Alex. Don’t know how you even made it this far!

Jordan gets the second 1 on 1 and the guys are NOT happy about it.

They head to a winery where they get to stomp grapes to make wine. I have ALWAYS wanted to do that.

However, they then drink that wine before it is processed. I have NEVER wanted to do that.

Then the biggest moment of the night—we learn that Jordan doesn’t talk to his brother, THE AARON RODGERS.

Jordan says that’s because of how Aaron “chooses to live his life “and that actually most of his family doesn’t really talk to Aaron. I have so many thoughts about this.

  1. Is Jordan upset that his brother is a STAR in the NFL and he never was?
  2. Is Aaron Rodgers actually a big jerk that we should all really hate?
  3. Is there a bigger issue here if someone doesn’t talk to their sibling?

Of course, I will probably never know the answers to these questions, but maaaaan I can only imagine how ticked I would be if I were Aaron Rodgers and all this dirty laundry was getting aired.

Towards the end of the night, Jordan tells JoJo he loves her. This night is the most sincere I have ever seen him. That got me wondering--- maybe he is always just macho and cocky because he doesn’t know how to deal with him emotions?

I’m not a psychiatrist, so I can’t tell you, but I really just want to give Jordan the benefit of the doubt.

Chase, James, and Robby are all on the group date. It rains all day, so instead of the activity JoJo had planned, they all just hang out in her suite.

For whatever reason, James decides to shove as many french fries in his mouth that he can.

James then confesses that Robby has a wandering eye. It’s one thing to joke about it once, but continuing the comments throughout the day with Robby sitting right there was either

a) really bold if it’s true or

b) just really obnoxious if it isn’t.

Also--- they watch the Bachelorette (or the foreign version) the same way I do with my friends. Except they are actually all closer to each other. #awkward

In the end, no matter how much of a wandering eye he may have, Robby gets the rose.

Luke gets the final 1 on 1.

Their date seems super short, but there’s no doubt in my mind that Luke is staying. Luke will be in the top 2 and may even win JoJo’s heart in the end.

At first I thought Luke was really emotional, but as the season has progressed, I’ve realized he’s just really passionate and knows how to deal with his emotions very well.

I don’t think I recognized this, because the guys I have dated have not been great with emotions.

By the end of the week, JoJo has made up her mind and she doesn’t have a cocktail party. I said it at the end of last week. James was going home. She was so confident in the other 4 guys last week, so it had to be him.

Can’t wait for hometowns next week!
