THURSDAY, MAY 11th

We Got The Beat @Alive After 5 at the Epicenter, 5pm

Welcome to the largest weekly happy hour & free entertainment celebration in Charlotte. Alive After Five is the perfect destination for friends and co-workers to gather, unwind, and listen to great music while enjoying a tasty beverage. Kick start your weekend every Thursday in style! Official after-parties are held at Whiskey River, BlackFinn, SUITE, Vida, Strike City, and Bubble.

 

FRIDAY, MAY 12th   

4th Annual Bacon Fest @Whiskey River, 8pm

Are you a BACON fanatic? If you answered, “YES,” then this is the event for you. Whiskey River will be hosting 3 bacon-themed buffets including samples of appetizers, entrees, desserts, and even bacon-inspired cocktails. There will be great giveaways (did someone say free bacon-wrapped jalapeños for a year?) and prizes for all of you bacon-obsessed fans in Charlotte. Tickets are just $17 and can be purchased here. This is a 21+ event.

 

Food Truck Friday @Park Crossing, 5:30pm

Looking for something to do with the whole family? Join Park Crossing Swim & Racquet Club for their 3rd Food Truck Friday event. There will be 5 trucks on site, games in the field, volleyball, kids face painting, a tennis exhibition, and music. This is a FREE event for the public.

 

SATURDAY, MAY 13th  

Greystar South End Hops Fest @Southend Charlotte, 2pm   

This year’s (dog-friendly) South End Hops Festival is celebrating its 4th year in the making with 80+ different NC & SC craft beers from over 40 amazing breweries. In addition to 4 hours of unlimited beer tastings, attendees will experience Blue Blaze Brewing’s Biergarten and live craft beer demos by Chef Chris Coleman of Stoke Charlotte. Starving Artist Market @Lenny Boy Brewing, 2pm

Support your local artist and join Lenny Boy Brewing for their indoor pop-up market! There will be a variety of vendors selling bath products, jewelry, candles, accessories, beadwork, silk screening, wood work, prints, paintings, carvings, gift sets, bakeries, chocolate, pottery, and much more. A Bao Time Food Truck will be on site for your feasting pleasure, so make sure to grab a glass of your favorite Kombucha and shop from some of the most creative artists Charlotte has to offer!

 

BBQ & Bluegrass @Sycamore Brewing, 12pm

Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival @SportsLink Southpark, 2pm

Here are the deets for the Beer, Bourbon, & BBQ Festival, an all-you-can-drink event:

Tickets are $39 and you can buy one here. All guests receive a souvenir glass for tastings.

The first 200 Guests in line for EACH SESSION receive a FREE “COLLECTIBLE BBBQ” bag.

Unlimited beer and bourbon tastings as you stroll from table to table and tent to tent. There are 40 bourbons and 60 beers on tap. Enjoy, but please drink responsibly.

BBQ galore! Enjoy the great barbeque selection – pulled pork from whole hogs, ribs, brisket, chickens, sausages, and any fixins’ you could imagine. We’ll keep the portions heavy and the prices low. BBQ is ala carte.

3rd ANNUAL CAROLINA BBQ LEAGUE COMPETITION. That’s right –  meet and watch the teams from the Carolina BBQ League for their BBQ Backyard Competition. Come out and see the teams and their rigs as they smoke out the best flavors in the South. 

Live Rock & Blues music will be playing all day and there will be exhibits with brewerania, hot sauces, bbq accessories, and much more.

 

No Pants Ride @Unknown Brewing, 1pm

Ride down the light rail trail for Charlotte’s second annual pantless bike ride with Unknown Brewing. Enjoy live music, amazing food trucks, and (duh) delicious beer. This is a free event and open to the public.

ADDED FEEL GOOD BONUS: For every person that shows up, Unknown Brewing will donate $1 to 24 Hours of Booty.   

 

Pure Intentions Coffee Launch Party @Amelie’s Uptown, 6pm

Complimentary hot and cold coffee samples will be served alongside coffee-infused pastries and savory delights. This event is FREE and open to the public. There will also be beer and wine available for purchase.

Sausage making with JJ’s Red Hots @Chef Alyssa’s Kitchen, 6:30pm

Learn how to make 3 different sausages with Chef & Owner, Jon Luther, of JJ’s Red Hots.  He will take you through some of the secrets to his great tasting menu items and will also pair some dishes with Chef Alyssa’s Spreads Line. Grab your tickets here before they sell out!
