Tessa’s Guide to Treat Yo’ Self in The QC

What does a day of Self Care look like in Charlotte, NC? Read Tessa Machen’s recommendations of how to Treat Yo’ Self in the QC!

Treat Yo Self in the QC

My girlfriends and I talk about everything you could possibly imagine, so I started doing “Gal Talk” on my Instagram Story. Feel free to follow along @TessaMachen. We talk about all kinds of things while we are together—dating, clothes, things to do in Charlotte, the list goes on. This all inspired me to create a Treat Yo’ Self Guide throughout the Queen City.

Stop #1: Treat Yo’ Self: Ritz Massage + Amenities

If you have not checked out the Ritz Spa, then drop what you are doing right now and check them out. We all need some R&R, and I promise you will not be disappointed with this spa.

Tip: Go in the morning and then stay most of the day enjoying the sauna, hot tub, ordering food by the pool, reading a good book (my current recommendations), or using the gym. It is worth every penny, and you feel like you are on a mini-vacation for the day.

Stop #2: Facial from Miramae Skincare Studio

Taking care of your skin is so important, and I have been dreaming about getting a facial from Rhonda at Miramae Skincare Studio off of Selwyn Avenue. Skincare is the new makeup.

Stop #3: Lion King at the Blumenthal

Pre-show Vibes: Hit up one of my favorite spots in Uptown, Malbar, for a glass of wine and a light appetizer. The perfect late summer evening! Tickets are sold until September 9th, so go watch the classic Disney film while you still can.

Stop #4: Georgia Street Design off East Blvd

Retail Therapy: This local interior designer’s style is one that will have you second-guessing your next HomeGoods trip. #HomeTransformations

Stop #5: Makeup done by Stewart Hough

Face Beat: He is ‘da man! Stew is hands-down one of my favorites, and you will walk out looking and feeling like a Victoria’s Secret model.

Stop #6: Potts Chocolate

They have homemade chocolate made locally in Charlotte. I have had my eyes on their chocolate and wine pairings event for a while now. I have heard that this is an unbelievable experience! End the day with a sweet treat.
