Celebrate Feminism with these Local Boutiques

Whether you’re shopping for yourself, your best friend, your #bosslady, or the badass mom in your life, look no further than Charlotte’s local boutiques to find the perfect Galentine’s Day gifts. I have created a list of my top three shops that celebrate feminism, give back to worthy causes, and support female-run local business. I’m sure there’s something in this guide for everyone you want to show some love to this year (well, maybe not your ex-mother-in-law).

1. Gratefully Danielle
Danielle and her mom at Gratefully Danielle are a dynamic duo. They carry fair trade items from Guatemala, Peru, Vietnam, India, and Africa. These products provide a source of income for people in all areas of the world who might not have the opportunity to work in a dignified and positive environment. They also provide support to the local economy by carrying items from Charlotte artisans and craftsmen. My favorite item is none other than Giving Back Is The New Black Tee $38.

2. The Blush Edit
The Blush Edit is a mix of sweet and sassy — the girl next door who wears a leather jacket. It has a gift for everyone in your life. Chelsey, the owner and founder, selects each and every product which is why the majority of the selections in her shop are designed and handcrafted here in the USA by a handful of talented female artisans. My top pick is the modern charm necklaces, which are embroidered with sayings such as “Best Bitches” or “Boy Bye,” or my personal favorite “Wine.”

3. The Girl Tribe Co
Two local Mamas are making more than just tanks and tees; they’re making clothing that embodies a passion for empowering females. Their local yet global fashion vibes are perfect for all ladies, especially the younger generation. My favorite pick is Girl Tribe Toddler Tee $24.
