8 Hidden Gems Just 30 Mins Outside of Charlotte on the YoCo Brew Trail
So we all know that Charlotte can get a bit familiar if you’ve been here over three years. Every now and then you may find yourself looking for a mini-adventure that doesn’t cost too much but also feels like a vacation. We took a trip just over 30 minutes outside of York County to give you something to do on that random weekend you feel like doing more than ‘Netflixing’.
#1 Dinner at Legal Remedy
Address: 129 Oakland Ave, Rock Hill, SC
This was our first stop on the YoCo Brew Trail. Here you can step into the brewpub to seek beer justice. Legal Remedy has over 11,000 square feet of interior, so as you can imagine, their craft brewing operation is huge. There are 24 taps flowing at all times, filled with regular legal-themed brews and special seasonal varieties.

#5 Windy Hill Orchard & Cidery:
Address: 1860 Black Highway, York, SC
This was hands down one of our favorite stops on the Yoco Brew trail. You’ll never forget this one. Windy Hill is an apple orchard in York that started brewing cider in 1996. This family-run farm packs a punch, adding the charm of the orchard to their award-winning cider. Be sure not to leave without trying one of their apple cider donuts. Thank us later.
Also, there are PIGS and CHICKENS. We can’t guarantee that you will see them every day but just knowing they are there is pretty cool.

#6 Rock Hill Brewing
Company w/ Millstone Pizza for dinner
121 Caldwell Street, Rock Hill, SC
We probably tried over 15 types of pizzas here, but this is the best of both worlds! Rock Hill Brewing Company, born as the brainchild of a local restaurateur, is settled in the market area of Old Town Rock Hill. Take advantage of the full experience by taking your wood-fired Millstone Pizza creation al fresco to Rock Hill Brewing Company.

#7 Main Street Bottle Shop
Address: 153 E Main Street Rock Hill, SC
Want to try out all of the craft breweries in one stop? Check out Main Street Bottle Shop. Here you can choose from an assortment of craft beers, making your own 6 pack or sit down at the custom bar to try a few. Either way, you’re definitely family the moment you walk in off the Yoco Brew Trial. Keep an eye out for the Pay it Forward chalkboard; If you want to buy someone a beer for the next time they visit, pay for the beer and let them know it’s for the name you write up on the chalkboard. If you see your name on the board near the bar, that means someone covered your first beer!

#8 Slow Play Brewing
274 Columbia Ave. Rock Hill, SC
This spot gets really ‘viby’ at night time. Slow Play is one of the newest breweries in Rock Hill, but they’ve already made a name for themselves. How you ask? They’ve transformed a warehouse into a brewery dream paired with a permanent food truck whose menu will leave you drooling.
